There are a lot of VPN service providers, but few of them support the free mobile VPN (mVPN) client on Nokia Symbian platform. As far as I know, there are only 2.
The first VPN service provider, which supports Nokia mobile VPN client is 12VPN, which seems to be a company from Hong Kong. I have been using 12VPN for about one and half years and quite happy about their service. However, from the beginning of 2011, 12VPN removed their lite plan and increased the price of personal plan. Here is the features of current 12VPN personal plan.
12VPN Personal plans provide an unlimited and worry free VPN experience. Use it whenever you like, as much as you like. Ideal if you spend a lot of time online, enjoy video streaming, downloading or other bandwidth intensive applications.

The second one is IGVPN, which seems to be a one-man service provider and just started its business a few months ago. Here is the features of is IGVPN Pro Bundle (less than 28$/6 months):
- OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP, IPSec IKEv2 VPN service for all kind of desktop or mobile platform;
- Cisco IPSec VPN based on RSA certificate;
- Cisco IPSec VPN for Apple iOS based on RSA;
- L2TP/IPSec VPN for Apple iOS;
- PPTP VPN for Apple iOS;
- Nokia S60 mVPN based on RSA;
- Access to all VPN servers;
- The data traffic for each VPN account is 20GB/month;
- 5 simultaneously connections are allowed for each VPN account (including SSH tunneling);
- Provide SSH tunneling on all servers.
I just purchased an IGVPN account a few days ago and didn’t test it intensively yet. But according the feedback from another user, the IPSec VPN service for Nokia Symbian smartphones from IGVPN is not very stable.
Comparing with 12VPN, the technical support of IGVPN may be not as professional as 12VPN. 12VPN also has more choice of VPN server locations than IGVPN, which only has 10 US based servers at this moment. Moreover, 12VPN allows more data traffic than IGVPN too and doesn’t explicitly mention the limitation of simultaneous connections. 7-day money back guarantee is another advantage of 12VPN. However, IGVPN offers lower price and more plans to be chosen according to users’ requirement.
Is this review helpful to users who need to choose a VPN service provider that support Nokia mobile VPN client.
